About

Connie Harsell

Robert Francis Jones

We both love the etching process and the painterly feel our jewelry captures.  The dots aren't perfectly round, the lines a little wider in places are from the stroke of our paintbrush applying the resist so the etching process can occur which gives our jewelry the spirit of the artist's hand.

We also love the end result of the etching process which encourages the human sense of touch so you can experience the feel of the different layers and textures of our work.

A few years ago we both experienced getting our first tattoo, a small heart with three dots.  When we paint the small dots onto the sterling silver surface it takes patience and concentration to be consistent with the size of the dots so we like to say that the dots are a reminder to be present in the moment.

The prints from the expressionist painter, Paul Klee, were used as a background to photograph our jewelry.

We design and hand fabricate our jewelry in Olympia, Washington.
